Timor-Leste Judicial System Monitoring Program funding crisis

Thu Jan 28 2016
Philanthropy

The Judicial System Monitoring Program (JSMP)is a not-for-profit organisation that promotes democracy, human rights and gender equality in Timor-Leste. Since its inception in 2004, JSMP has been instrumental in influencing key improvements to the Timorese judicial sector.

JSMP recently received unexpected news that one of its key donors will not provide support in 2016 due to financial constraints. This puts JSMP in a difficult situation as this loss of funding was sudden and there had been no planning regarding alternative funding sources.

The JSMP is seeking funding from interested persons to enable it to continue its work.

Individuals interested in providing financial assistance can contact the JSMP direct
