At its meeting on 7 November the Council of the Australian Bar Association resolved that the Legal Services Council be requested to amend Rule 11 of the Legal Profession Uniform Conduct (Barristers) Rules by amending 11 (d) to read 'representing a client in or conducting a mediation or arbitration or other method of alternative dispute resolution'. The ABA Council’s request has been conveyed to the Legal Services Council.
