Tax Bar and Judiciary Workshop & Dinner

The Australian Bar Association is holding a Tax Bar and Judiciary Workshop & Dinner at the Federal Court in Sydney on 31 October.

The Workshop will provide a unique opportunity for the Bench and Bar to share insights on current tax litigation issues.

When: Thursday, 31 October 2019 Where: Federal Court of Australia, Sydney – Level 20 Conference Room Time: 2pm – 6pm, followed by welcome drinks, canapes and a three course dinner (also at the Court). A range of topics relating to the conduct of litigation in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and the Federal Court will be covered at the Workshop, including:

  • Case Management in the Federal Court | From self-represented litigants to complex trials and appeals
  • Part IVC Appeals to the Federal Court | Expert Evidence and the Burden of Proof
  • Section 44 Appeals to the Federal Court | Common Issues
  • Running a tax case in the AAT | How to best assist the Tribunal

Cost: Barristers - $750 plus GST per person

Attendance is restricted to Federal Court Judges, Tribunal members and barristers. Delegates from interstate should arrange their own flights and accommodation. Please click here to register.
