TONIGHT: Equity and Property Rights in a Nineteenth Century Marriage

The 2013 Francis Forbes Lecture will be held tonight at 5.15pm in the Bar Common Room. "Equity and Property Rights in a Nineteenth Century Marriage" will be delivered by Professor Diane Kirkby (La Trobe University) and Dr Hilary Golder (UNSW). It will examine how the interplay between class and the rules of equity delayed until 1870 the necessary reforms to the law governing the property of married women.
