Position vacant: executive officer of the ABA

The Australian Bar Association seeks an executive officer to assist the ABA Council oversee and co-ordinate the delivery of its strategic plan objectives and activities and to manage its administration. The position requires high level administrative, organisational and communication skills. Familiarity with the operation and functions of local bar associations will be necessary. A law degree is highly desirable. The executive officer will be based in Melbourne. Interstate and international travel will be involved as the council meets in different locations around Australia approximately five times per year and the Australian Bar Association Conference is held overseas every two years.
