Aldridge SC appointed to the Family Court

Murray Aldridge SC, of Frederick Jordan Chambers, is one of three new appointees to the Family Court of Australia, Attorney-General Nicola Roxon announced today. “All three appointees bring rich and diverse backgrounds in the law to the court, and their experience will be a great asset to the bench", the attorney said. Mr Aldridge will be sworn-in at the Sydney Registry (Full Court Room) at 9.30am on Thursday, 13 December. Jane Needham SC will speak on behalf of the New South Wales and Australian Bar Associations.

The other appointees are Peter Tree SC, who will be appointed to the Townsville Registry and Jenny Hogan SC, who will be appointed to the Brisbane Registry. Both appointments will take effect from 14 January 2013.
