Positions vacant: public defenders (Sydney and Lismore)

Attorney General Greg Smith SC is seeking applications from qualified persons for appointment as a public defender under the Public Defenders Act 1995 for a fixed term of up to seven years that may be renewed, and subject to an initial twelve-month probationary period. Interested persons must be Australian lawyers with extensive advocacy experience in a wide range of criminal trials and ideally CCA appeals.
