Appointments to note

Attorney General Greg Smith SC has announced the following appointments.

The appointment of the Hon Justice Ward as a judge of appeal commencing on and from 12 November 2012.

The appointment of the Hon Associate Justice Hallen as a judge of the Supreme Court of New South Wales commencing on and from 12 November 2012.

The appointment of the Hon Justice R O Blanch, AM, as a member and as the president of the Dust Diseases Tribunal of New South Wales commencing on and from 8 November 2012. His Honour will hold the office of president of the Dust Diseases Tribunal concurrently with his existing commission as chief judge of the District Court of New South Wales.

The reappointment of Associate Professor Judith Anne Cashmore AO and the appointment of Mr David Phillip Giddy as members of the Judicial Commission of New South Wales for the period commencing on 7 November 2012 and expiring on 6 November 2015.

The reappointment of Mr David Louthean Patten as a part-time deputy president of the Administrative Decisions Tribunal of New South Wales for the period commencing on 8 November 2012 and expiring on 31 October 2013.
