Legislation to note: workers compensation transitional regulations

The Workers Compensation Amendment�(Transitional)�Regulation 2012 (NSW) has been published on the NSW Legislation web site and came into effect yesterday, 1 October 2012.�The object of this Regulation is to prescribe savings and transitional provisions for the purposes of the Workers Compensation Legislation Amendment Act 2012 and to prescribe other miscellaneous matters in connection with the commencement of that Act, including increases in the maximum legal costs in workers compensation matters. This Regulation is made under the Workers Compensation Act 1987, including section 280 and Schedule 6.
