Bar FC bloodied but unbowed

NSW Bar FC played its first game of the DSL season last Thursday, 21 April 2011 against Corrs, but lost 2-0. The team had three new players and was without either of its regular goal keepers, which might have had some bearing on the result. Anthony Lo Surdo reports that Evan Walker fired a great shot on goal, only to have it rebound on the inside of both posts without going across the line. 
Corrs scored just before half time and scored a second goal on a long ball counter attack. 
Bar FC's next game is against Reserve Bank "C" on 3 May 2011 at 1.15 pm. Spectators are most welcome. Enquiries should be directed to Anthony Lo Surdo.
