Four tickets available for the Jessie Street Annual Lunch

The Jessie Street Annual Lunch will be held this Friday, 1 April 2011 from 12 noon at Parliament House and In Brief has heard that four tickets (at $95 each) are still available. Jessie Street (1889-1970) was an activist for peace and human rights. The trust was formed in 1989 to commemorate Jessieâs life and to assist activities she would have supported, in the areas of womenâs rights, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander rights, peace and disarmament and the elimination of discrimination. Justice Anna Katzmann and Sir Laurence Street are trustees.
