Bar News Summer 2010-11 is out now

Thu Dec 09 2010

The bumper Summer 2010-11 edition of Bar News will land in mailboxes in coming days. Special features include a retrospective on 25 years of the journal, the first women to practise at the New South Wales Bar and security for costs against impecunious corporate plaintiffs. We reproduce the inaugural Sir Garfield Barwick Address, delivered by Senator Brandis, on 'The lawyer's duty to public life'. There's the usual mix of book reviews, photos of social events, coverage of recent appointments to state and federal courts and the Tri-State Bar Football Competition. And no edition would be complete without Bullfry. If you do not receive your copy by Friday, please contact the publications manager. 9 December 2010
