The Bar Association premises to be refurbished over Christmas

Wed Sep 01 2010

The Bar Association will upgrade the Common Room and general offices over the 2010/2011 Christmas period. Bar Council decided to carry out work at that time so that it would coincide with a Building Codes of Australia upgrade. Existing facilities are obsolete and have reached the end of their design life. The refurbishment will provide more flexible use of space, better quality air conditioning and increased security - all in compliance with OH&S requirements.

The Common Room will be closed from 1 November 2010. The general offices will relocate to the Counsel's Chambers hearing rooms on Level 1 during the week 6-10 December 2010. The Library will also be closed from 10 December 2010 to allow for work on the airconditioning plant to be carried out.
