Tonight: trial efficiency and case management under the Criminal Procedure Act

At 5.00pm tonight, in the Banco Court, Lord Justice Leveson, formerly senior presiding judge in Queens Bench and presently the chair of the Sentencing Council for England and Wales, will talk about efficiency reforms in relation to criminal trials in England and his work in sentencing.� Justice McClellan, chief judge at Common Law, will speak about the 2009 report of the NSW Trial Efficiency Working Group and the subsequent amendments to the Criminal Procedure Act 1986.
