Chief Justice Spigelman to chair the Council of the National Library

Chief Justice James Spigelman AC has been appointment as chair and member of the Council of the National Library of Australia. The appointment is for a term of three years.

"Chief Justice Spigelman is one of Australia’s most eminent jurists with a strong interest in Australian arts and culture. He has served as chairman of the Film Finance Corporation, as a member of the Council of the National Gallery of Australia and as a councillor of the Australian Film, Television and Radio School", said Minister for the Arts Peter Garrett.
