Where now for the rule of law in Australia?

The rule of law: everyone supports it. But what are the challenges confronting it in Australia and how should the legal profession, legislators, judicial officers and law reform commissioners respond? Members are invited to Is the Rule of Law Under Challenge in Australia? a conference, organised by the Bar Association and the Rule of Law Association of Australia, to be held on Friday, 20 November 2009, 9.00am-1.30pm at the Hilton, Sydney.
