First decisions by the new Supreme Court of the United Kingdom

The Supreme Court of the United Kingdom has replaced the Appellate Committee of the House of Lords, the highest court in the land for more than 600 years. In Brief has learned that the first win in the new court goes to a member of New South Wales Bar Association, Geoffrey Robertson QC, who was representing media organisations seeking to publish the names of certain persons charged with terrorism related offences.
