Australia Day Honours 2009

In the Australia Day Honours announced on 26 January, the Hon Richard Chisholm was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) "for service to the judiciary, to the law and legal education, particularly in the field of family law and the welfare and rights of children and young people".

The Hon Acting Justice Ronald Sackville was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) "for service to the administration of the Australian judicial system, to the reform of federal and state law, and to legal education".
