Change to Costs and Disclosure Precedents

Costs and Disclosure Precedent ‘2.2 Costs disclosure notice’ has been revised in connection with direct access retainers and the disclosures required by rule 80 of the _New South Wales Barristers’ Rules.

_The changes to the precedent are as follows:

  • the existing rule 100 disclosure has been moved to the end;
  • minor editorial change to paragraph 13 (as renumbered) - addition of '(plural in original)';and
  • addition of paragraphs 14 to 19 reflecting the requirements of rule 80, with a note that items 14 to 19 only apply to direct access briefs.
