Amended Motor Accident Injuries Bill

The Motor Accident Injuries Bill 2017 passed the Legislative Council last night. Various amendments were made to the bill in committee on issues including premium adjustment, insurer profit, medical expenses for citizens or residents outside Australia, past and future economic loss, dispute resolution and legal incapacity. A number of these amendments were in response to the issues raised by the legal profession in its most recent submissions. A link to the debate is available here.
