LCA calls for urgent action on Indigenous imprisonment

The Law Council of Australia has called for urgent action on Indigenous incarceration, following the release of Overcoming Indigenous Disadvantage Key Indicators 2016 - the latest in a series of biennial reports by the Productivity Commission. While the report found improvement in many areas of health, economic participation and aspects of education, the same could not be said with respect to imprisonment and hospitalisation for self-harm.
