Adam Butt of 8th Floor Wentworth Chambers was on 18 August 2017 admitted to the New York Bar. While in the US, Adam presented a paper on the merits of concurrent expert evidence ("hot tubbing") to an audience of US federal judges and lawyers in the US Federal Court, Portland, Oregon. The presentation advocated the merits of "hot tubbing", indicating the role it can play in the US where, unlike Australia and other common law and international jurisdictions, it is not an established practice.
