The next meeting of the Bar Book Club will be held on Wednesday, 2 August from 6.00pm in the Bar Library. The book for discussion will be the Seamus Heaney translation of Beowulf. For the time-poor and print-challenged there are audio versions: a beautiful reading by Seamus Heaney of Beowulf can be found in two parts on YouTube, here and here or can be purchased from Audible Books. And for those who did not study Beowulf in English 101, some commentary to get you started at Harvard Magazine and also one from the Guardian.
