Today saw Bar FC share the points after a very unlucky 1-1 draw. The first half saw Bar FC put themselves under pressure by not keeping their shape, resulting in the opposition getting a lucky goal with the classic ball over the top. A gentle reminder from Sir Alex at half time regarding playing in positions saw a much improved second half result in a well deserved goal. Geoff “clean sheet” O’Shea saved a shot on goal before quickly releasing the ball to the midfield. A nice exchange of passes saw Di Michael finish a ball played to his feet. A great team goal. Encouraged by their demonstration of the beautiful game, Bar FC pressed for the last fifteen minutes and were unlucky not to complete successfully some wonderful passing and positioning in the midfield. The player of the match accolade must however go the Glenn Fredericks who played strongly as a right back in a three man backline. Not much got past him and what did, he soon chased down. Next week sees Bar FC meet Reserve Bank B on Tuesday 16 May 2017 at 1.15 p.m.
