In late November 2018 the ACT Integrity Commission Bill was passed. The resulting Act establishes the ACT Integrity Commission and applications are now invited for the part-time statutory position of ACT Integrity Commissioner.
The appointee must have been a Supreme or Federal Court judge; a justice of the High Court; or a lawyer of at least 10 years’ standing. A fixed term of seven years is available with pro-rata remuneration and entitlements aligned to those available to Federal and ACT Supreme Court judges.
