On Monday, 27 July 2015 the Public Law Section of the Bar Association (formerly the Constitutional and Administrative Law Section) will host a CPD seminar titled: "The Constitutional Aspects of Commonwealth and State Application Laws (with special attention to ss 79 and 80 of the Judiciary Act)". It will be presented by Justice Mark Leeming of the NSW Court of Appeal and chaired by Stephen Lloyd SC. Learn more here.
2015 Judicial Q&A
Specifically for the junior bar (barristers called to the New South Wales Bar in 2008 or later), the Judicial Q&A enables the junior bar to put questions to a judicial panel. After the event, members of the judiciary and the junior bar are invited to stay for drinks and canapés. The event is on Wednesday, 29 July in the Bar Association Common Room and it's free for 2/14 and 1/15 readers and $10 for other barristers up to seven years. RSVP by Friday, 24 July is essential.
