Two new appointments to the District Court
Wed Dec 08 2010Donna Woodburne SC and Elizabeth Olsson SC have been appointed as judges of the District Court. Ms Woodburne is a deputy director of public prosecutions who has been part of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions since 1988. She was appointed a barrister in 1997 and a senior counsel in 2008. Ms Olsson, who was appointed a senior counsel in 2003, is a part-time deputy president of the Administrative Decisions Tribunal and a part-time member of the NSW Mental Health Review Tribunal. Ms Woodburne will be sworn in as a District Court judge on 7 February 2011, while Ms Olsson will be sworn in on 7 March 2011.
