A few facts and figures relating to the July 2007 Bar examinations

In July 2007, a final total of 81 candidates sat for the various Bar exams. Here are some interesting statistics about the results.

>> A pass mark is 75 per cent for each examination. >>�Seventeen candidates withdrew before sitting exams. >> Not all exams had equal candidature. >> Thirty-nine members of the Bar Association assisted in the preparation�and marking of papers.

Practice and procedure 68.3% of candidates passed after moderation.�The average mark achieved was 71.6

Evidence 54.5% of candidates passed after moderation.�The average mark achieved was 68.3

Ethics 80.00% of candidates passed after moderation.�The average mark achieved was 77.2

Congratulations to Warwick Hunt and Stuart Lawrance who achieved the highest aggregate score in these examinations.�Warwick will receive the 'P Blashki Award' and Stuart will receive the 'Con Varnavas Award' presented for academic achievement in the Bar examinations.
