Inclusion and Diversity at the NSW Bar - Note #2

The Diversity & Equality Committee of the New South Wales Bar Association last met on Wednesday, 10 April 2019. At the meeting, we had a guest, Zaahir Edries of the Muslim Legal Network attend and meet members and spoke to them about how the network was formed, issues faced by young Muslim lawyers entering the profession and ways in which the NSW Bar can become a more inclusive environment to Muslim lawyers wanting to join the Bar.

The Muslim Legal Network is hosting an Iftar Dinner on Monday, 20 May from 4:30pm at Doltone House. NSW Bar member, Nicholas Cowdery AM QC will be keynote speaker. Tickets for the dinner can be purchased here.
