Supreme Court Rules and UCPR

At meetings of the Supreme Court Rules Committee and of the Uniform Rules Committee on 3 December 2012 the following amendments were made to the Supreme Court Rules and the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules.

Supreme Court Rules amendment

This amendment deletes various obsolete and redundant forms in Schedule F of the Supreme Court Rules. It commenced today, Friday, 7 December 2012.

Supreme Court Rules amendment

This amendment replaces Part 78 of the Supreme Court Rules (Probate and Administration). The current probate forms are repealed. This amendment includes provision for publishing notices of intention to apply for probate, administration or reseal on the NSW Online Registry website. This amendment will commence on Monday 21 January 2013.

Uniform Civil Procedure Rules amendment

This amendment to the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules includes changes consequential to the amendments to SCR Part 78. This amendment will commence on Monday 21 January 2013.

The Uniform Rules Committee also approved new probate forms that will take effect from Monday 21 January 2013. These forms will be published on the UCPR website in the next couple of weeks.
