New terror laws: a conversation with Walker SC and Professor George Williams

Tue Oct 07 2014

The Australian Government has introduced two tranches of complex and significant anti-terrorism legislation, with minimal debate and little scrutiny. One bill has passed the parliament. The more controversial "foreign fighters" bill is due back before parliament in mid October. This event, organised by the NSW Society of Labor Lawyers, will analyse the current and proposed laws. Bret Walker SC and Professor George Williams will examine the legislation at a forum to be held on Thursday, 9 October 2014 at 6:15pm for 6.30pm start, in the office of Gilbert + Tobin, 2 Park St, Level 37. Please RSVP by clicking here.
