Bar FC into the semi-finals!

Mon Aug 25 2014

In a dry run to the semi-finals next week, Bar FC played some beautiful possession football in the Domain today against a youthful Announcer FC. Notwithstanding some great midfield play by Free and Lang, the game was a scoreless draw at full time. Notable was the performance of the two silks in the backline, Gyles SC and Fordham SC who were seen at one stage exchanging high fives (reminiscent of the days of the Woodies domination of doubles tennis). Captain (John) Harris was kept busy in goal and assiduously managed to avoid being twice kicked in the head (a feat that escaped him when last on the park).

O’Shea and Griscti put in solid performances with Morrison putting in an enormous work rate up front following the late withdrawal of golden boot hopeful and crowd-pleaser David “Patchildinho” Patch.

Bar FC play Announcer FC again in the sudden-death semi-final at 12.00pm, 1 September 2014. Pack a sandwich lunch and support your FC!
