Assisting the Family Court with self-represented litigants

Wed Aug 27 2014

The Bar Association has been approached by the Family Law Court of Australia to establish a panel of suitably experienced barristers to assist self-represented litigants appearing before the full bench. In appropriate cases a referral will be made by the court to the Bar Association’s Legal Assistance Referral Scheme. If the applicant is eligible for assistance under the LARS Guidelines, the manager of the scheme will contact members of the panel and provide details of the referral. If you are interested in being on the panel to assist the court, please contact Heather Sare via hsare@nswbar.asn.au or 9229.1733.
