Ceremonial sitting of the Court of Appeal

The Court of Appeal will hold a ceremonial sitting in the Banco Court at 9am on Monday, 8 February to mark the 50th anniversary of its first sitting. A number of former and current judges of appeal will be on the bench and His Excellency General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), governor of New South Wales, will be in attendance. The ceremonial sitting is open to all members of the legal profession and the public. President Noel Hutley SC will speak on behalf of the New South Wales Bar. Barristers should wear wigs and gowns. Senior counsel should wear full-bottomed wigs.
