2015 Justice Awards

The Justice Awards dinner was held last night at the Strangers' Dining Room, Parliament House, Macquarie Street. The Bar Association sponsors the Law and Justice Volunteer Award, which is presented to an individual or group of individuals who, in a voluntary capacity, have demonstrated outstanding commitment to improving access to justice in NSW, particularly for socially and economically disadvantaged people. The 2015 award was presented by President Jane Needham SC to Leonie Duroux for her 23-year fight for justice for the families of three Aboriginal children murdered in Bowraville. The annual Law and Justice Address was delivered by the Hon Catherine Branson QC
