Donations of books and wigs to Kiribati

The Office of Peoples Lawyer (OPL) in the Republic of Kiribati is building its law library. The OPL is similar to Legal Aid NSW. Lawyers with the OPL assist the disadvantaged people of Kiribati with advice and representation in all legal matters. No fee is charged to the people. At present the library of the OPL has no library and the Internet is very slow. They are in desperate need of law books. Also, lawyers of Kiribati wear barrister wigs when appearing before the High Court and Court of Appeal, so donations of second-hand wigs would be most welcome.

Do not leave donations at the Bar Library. The librarian will not be amused. Instead, please place donated items in boxes labelled box 1 of 4, 2 of 4 etc, then address as follows:

The books must be delivered to Ranfurly Book Aid Inc by Thursday, 15 October 2015 in order for them to be loaded onto a shipping container.

Ranfurly Book Aid Inc. is located at Building 501, Old Rozelle Hospital off Glover Street, Lillyfield NSW 2040. Drive down Glover Street, to the western boundary opposite the entry to the Leichardt Oval. Sign post will say WHOS. Go through the car park to the loading dock at Building 501. Someone from Ranfurly will be at the dock between 8:30am and 1:30pm on Thursday. If you need to drop the books before Thursday, then do so by leaving them at the loading dock.
