NSW Criminal Court Statistics 2014

A heavy caseload in the District Court, a higher incidence of not guilty pleas, and the growth of long and complex drug trials have led to an increase in the time taken to finalise criminal trials in the higher courts, according to NSW Criminal Courts Statistics 2014, released today by the Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research.
