The President Tim Game SC has today published a media release, available here, calling for further consideration and consultation on the Federal Government’s proposals regarding the structure of Family Law Courts. The President’s media release follows a statement issued earlier today, available here, by the Law Council of Australia, Women’s Legal Services Australia, Rape & Domestic Violence Services Australia and academics at the UTS Faculty of Law reiterating concerns about the Federal Attorney-General’s proposed family courts merger bill.
