Bar FC’s undefeated streak ends

A strong Bar FC went down 4-2 in the Domain Soccer League to a fast, young and somewhat aggressive Pendal FC.

A spirited and controlled performance saw Bar FC leading 2-0 at half time thanks to goals from Condylis and Morrison. How quickly though a game of football can change? After three consecutive point blank saves by Keeper Griscti, the fourth shot saw the first goal to Pendal.

A lobbed three kick within two minutes saw the score at 2-2 and then with the wind behind them, Pendal FC completed the transformation with two individual goals to their fast and powerful striker.

Good performances by all however the Sir Alex award for the best player on the park must go to newcomer Jon Tsang. He was a pillar in defence in the first half and provided a potent and quick force up front to contend with in the second half. With a few different ref calls the outcome no doubt would have been different.

Today’s line up was as follows:

  • DARREN COVELL
  • JON TSANG
  • TIM KANE
  • SEBASTIAN HARTFORD DAVIS
  • TIM BOYLE
  • GLEN FREDERICKS
  • NICHOLAS CONDYLIS
  • ANTHONY CANCERI
  • DAVID LARISH (C)
  • HUGH MORRISON
  • ANGUS LANG
  • NICOLE COMPTON
  • JEH COUTINHO
  • RICO
  • IVAN GRISCTI (GK)

Our next fixture is against Factset FC on Thursday 23 May 2019 at 1.15 pm on top of the Domain Car Park.

All friends, supporters and hecklers are welcome to attend.
