The Attorney General is seeking applications from qualified persons for appointment as Crown Prosecutors under the Crown Prosecutors Act 1986 for a fixed term of up to seven years that may be renewed, following an initial twelve-month probationary period.

The positions could be based at various locations around the State, with the successful applicants being required to attend regional courts as directed.

Crown Prosecutors provide high-level, independent professional representation and advice as Counsel representing the Director of Public Prosecutions in criminal matters in all Criminal Courts. The Crown Prosecutors represent the Director in providing an independent, efficient, fair and just prosecution service for the people of New South Wales.

Interested persons must be an Australian lawyer. The key skills and knowledge required for the role are contained in the online role description and they must be addressed in the online application. Applicants must outline their experience in conducting complex jury trials and/or appeals.

Remuneration is $296,050 per annum plus conveyance allowance of $17,075 per annum Note: Probity checks will be conducted.
