On 20 August 2018, the president notified members that he had held discussions with the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions and the Commonwealth Solicitor for Public Prosecutions (CDPP)regarding fee rates and payment for preparation time. The Bar Association received submissions from members of the NSW Bar on issues regarding fees paid by the CDPP on a confidential basis. On 31 October 2018, the president wrote to the CDPP setting out the issues raised by members. A copy of the letter can be viewed here. If members have any questions they may contact the senior policy lawyer, Ms Ting Lim on 9229 1739 or by email at: tlim@nswbar.asn.au.
