Funding for the Community Legal Sector

Wed Aug 01 2018
A message from President Arthur Moses SC

The Attorney General the Hon Mark Speakman SC MP has today announced the establishment of a “Future Fund” to bring certainty to State funding of Community Legal Centres. Click here for the full media release.

The initiative follows a review of NSW Community Legal Centre Services conducted by Alan Cameron AO. The proposal will help overcome recent uncertainty in resourcing levels for the community legal sector by providing a significant funding increase over the coming years. Community Legal Centres provide an essential service for the most vulnerable people in our community and I congratulate the Attorney General on this important initiative.
