CDPP Launches Commonwealth Sentencing Resources

Fri Jul 27 2018

Two new sentencing resources are now available on the CDPP webpage. The National Legal Direction – Duties and Role of the Prosecution in a Sentencing Hearing and the Sentencing of Federal Offenders in Australia – A Guide for Practitioners are now available at www.cdpp.gov.au under NEWS, Publications and Policies.

The Sentencing Resources are the result of a collaboration between CDPP lawyers and Counsel Desmond Lane of the Victoria Bar and Lester Fernandez of the NSW Bar and provides a comprehensive resource not only for CDPP lawyers, but for all legal practitioners, judicial officers, and others who deal with the sentencing of Federal Offenders.

It is planned that these resources will be updated on a regular basis to ensure that they continue to provide a useful and comprehensive guide to federal sentencing.
