Judges in Conversation - Current Issues in Maritime Law

Melbourne Law School is delighted to invite you to the launch of Judges in Conversation - Current Issues in Maritime Law with the Honourable Justice Steven Rares and Professor Martin Davies.

In this Judges in Conversation event, Professor Martin Davies and Justice Steven Rares will address a range of current issues in maritime and admiralty law, including damages for wrongful arrest, recognition of foreign maritime liens, the intersection between cross-border insolvency and admiralty, and the shortcomings of the UNCITRAL Model Law, particularly when circumstances change in relation to the foreign insolvency proceedings.

The lecture will take place at Courtroom 8A, Federal Court of Australia on 305 William St, Melbourne VIC, 3000 between 6-7pm. It will also be live-streamed to the in the following locations:
