Federal cuts leave refugees, courts in limbo

The Bar Association has issued a media release condemning the Australian Government’s decision to axe the Refugee Review Tribunal Legal Advice Scheme. President Phil Boulten SC said the move will significantly increase the number of self-represented litigants and blow out appeals and delays in the Federal Circuit Court.
