Productivity Commission review of access to justice in civil disputes

The Australian Government has asked the Productivity Commission to undertake a 15-month inquiry into Australia’s system of civil dispute resolution, with a focus on constraining costs and promoting access to justice and equality before the law. The PC yesterday released an issues paper. The draft report is due on 4 November. The deadline for initial submissions is Monday, 4 November 2013.
