Government announces formal establishment of the royal commission on child abuse

The Australian Government has appointed a six-member Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, to be led by the Hon Justice Peter McClellan AM. The royal commission is to prepare an interim report by no later than 30 June 2014.
