Match report: Bar FC v Middletons

Wed Aug 08 2012

A significantly depleted and injury riddledNSW Bar FC (a cruel combination of age and misadventure)faced off against younger and fitter rivals from Middletons today.

Maghami upfront linked up with Smith, Jackson and Clarke in the mid-section and was cruelly denied on more than one occasion.

The backline, led by Captain Philips and ably supported by Younan (back from a European sojourn), McCarthy, Peden, Mahony (playing under an injury cloud) and Vickers (in goal) withstood, in Herculean fashion, repeated and punishing onslaughts from our youthful adversaries.

The result, a 4-0 loss.
