A joint Bar Association and Law Society media release on workers compensation

The NSW�Government has this afternoon released a surprise statement on the implementation of parts of its workers compensation reforms, which will proceed in several stages. The government has not released any specific information about how the scheme will operate, the commencement of the costs amendment to s 341 or whether the problems caused by that amendment will be overcome. The Bar�Association and the Law Society have brought out a media release calling on the government to declare its position on the costs issue.
