Opposition to introduce asbestos compensation bill

The state opposition has announced that it will�introduce a Private Member's Bill to provide for the relatives of asbestos victims who die before their case is finalised to�receive part of the compensation the victim would have been awarded.

"The Benefits for Relatives of Asbestos Victims Bill implements the Law Reform Commission's recommendations to provide fairer compensation to asbestos victims and their families," Shadow Attorney General, Paul Lynch said today.
